Susie's one hand, eternally set in a stylised Athena-girl pose, always has something hung from it. The crystal bird, surrounded by flower lights, glows with soft light of its own, small baubles around her fingers like large and vulgar jewels on wire-thin rings. Her pink ring flashes green and red, a truly unfortunate combination of colours. I got it for my 30th birthday party, which was supposed to be a Logan's Run party but was mostly just very crowded and very hot.
